When the world around you trembles in fear, choose to be of good courage.
The words “do not be afraid” are written all throughout the Bible as God continually promises that He will be with His people. He promises to go before us, to protect us, to uphold us, and to care for us. When our trust is in His promises and we take Him at His word, we can lay every fear and anxious thought at His feet and exchange in for a courage that can only come from confidence in Him.
A courage that says, “come what may, I don’t have to fear, for my assurance is the God who is with me and who goes before me. I will not be shaken as the world is shaken, for I know He holds me in the palm of His hand.”
